Hi dear readers,
I came across a new meta-analysis study, carried out by Thunyarat Anothaisintawee and collegueas, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association on January 5th, 2011.
These researches have done a systematic review on treated cases with chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain, presented in the Ramathibodi Hospital and Mahidol University, in Bangkok, Thailand.
They have found that the most successful chronic prostatitis treatment strategy was with antibiotics, alpha-blockers or combination therapy as compared with anti-inflammatory drugs, finasteride, and phytotherapies.
As for any other research study, the limits of this current one was the bias referring to small number of studies on alpha-blockers.
At the end, the right treatment not only includes the above-mentioned drugs, but also diet and life-style conducts.
Hope you got profit from this sharing!
